Description

Create a festive and fun Grinch-themed fruit snack perfect for holiday celebrations using fresh green apple, strawberries, Nutella, mini marshmallows, and a yellow fruit roll up. This no-cook recipe is easy and quick to assemble, making it ideal for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits

  • 1 Green Apple
  • 6-8 Strawberries

Decorations

  • Mini Marshmallows (enough to cut and place around strawberries)
  • Yellow Fruit Roll Up (for eyes)
  • Red Fruit Roll Up or additional Strawberry pieces (for pupils)

Other Ingredients

  • Nutella (for assembling and decorating)
  • Toothpicks (to secure strawberries)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base: Place the green apple on a plate as the base of your Grinch snack.
  2. Assemble the Hat: Cut the ends off of your strawberries and stack 6-8 of them on top of the apple in the shape of Santa’s hat, securing them with several toothpicks.
  3. Add Marshmallow Trim: Cut mini marshmallows in half and attach them around the bottom edge of the strawberry hat using small amounts of Nutella as glue.
  4. Create the Eyes: Cut out eye shapes from a yellow fruit roll up and add pupils made from small pieces of strawberry or red fruit roll up, placing them onto the apple’s face area.
  5. Decorate the Face: Place a small amount of Nutella into a plastic baggie, snip off a corner, and use it to draw features on the face to complete your Grinch look.

Notes

  • This snack is best served fresh to maintain the crispness of the apple and strawberries.
  • If you prefer, substitute Nutella with any chocolate spread or peanut butter for allergy considerations.
  • Use fresh mini marshmallows for optimal appearance and texture.
  • Exercise caution when using toothpicks around children.
