Ingredients
Scale
For the Salmon and Marinade
- 2 pieces fresh salmon (about 1/2 pound each)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- Pepper to taste
For the Bowl
- 2 (12 ounces) Mann’s Sesame Sriracha Nourish Bowls
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, combine honey, olive oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, BBQ sauce, lemon juice, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon pieces in a large Ziploc bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring each piece is gently coated. Seal the bag and refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow flavors to infuse.
- Preheat and Oil the Grill: When the salmon is nearly finished marinating, preheat your BBQ or grill to high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
- Grill the Salmon: Reduce the grill heat to medium-high. Place the marinated salmon onto the grill and cook for about 5 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked through but still moist. Avoid overcooking to maintain tenderness.
- Warm the Nourish Bowls: While the salmon cooks, prepare the Mann’s Sesame Sriracha Nourish Bowls by following the package instructions to warm them in the microwave. Once warmed, transfer bowls to serving plates if desired.
- Assemble and Serve: Place the grilled salmon atop each nourish bowl. Sprinkle with additional sesame seeds for garnish if you like. Serve immediately and enjoy this wholesome, flavorful meal.
Notes
- Marinate the salmon for 30 minutes to deepen the flavor but avoid exceeding 1 hour to prevent the acidity from breaking down the fish texture.
- If you do not have a grill, you can use a grill pan on the stovetop to cook the salmon instead.
- Adjust the amount of BBQ sauce and soy sauce in the marinade to taste depending on your preference for sweetness and saltiness.
- Ensure grill grates are well oiled to prevent salmon skin from sticking and tearing.
- Sesame seeds add a lovely crunch and visual appeal but are optional.
- Leftover salmon can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
