Description

A fun and festive snack perfect for holiday gatherings, these Reindeer Snacks combine crunchy celery sticks with creamy peanut butter and colorful candies to create adorable edible reindeer. Easy to prepare and loved by kids and adults alike, they’re a delightful treat to brighten any snack time.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 10 celery sticks
  • 1 cup peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
  • 20 candy eyes
  • 20 mini M&Ms
  • 20 small pretzel twists or sticks

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Celery: Wash and trim the celery sticks to about 5-6 inches each. Pat dry with a paper towel to ensure the peanut butter sticks well.
  2. Spread Peanut Butter: Using a butter knife, spread a generous layer of peanut butter evenly along the groove of each celery stick.
  3. Add the Eyes: Carefully place two candy eyes near one end of each celery stick to resemble the reindeer’s eyes, pressing gently so they stick in the peanut butter.
  4. Create the Antlers: Insert two small pretzel twists or sticks into the top end of each celery stick above the eyes to form the reindeer antlers.
  5. Add the Nose: Place one mini M&M below the eyes at the tip of the celery stick to serve as the reindeer’s nose, pressing it into the peanut butter so it stays in place.
  6. Serve: Arrange the finished reindeer snacks on a platter and serve immediately, or refrigerate for up to 1 hour before serving for a firmer peanut butter texture.

Notes

  • Use allergy-friendly alternatives to peanut butter if serving to children with nut allergies, such as sunflower seed butter.
  • Mini chocolate chips can be used instead of M&Ms for the nose if desired.
  • For a festive touch, sprinkle some cinnamon or cocoa powder lightly over the peanut butter.
  • These snacks are best enjoyed fresh to keep the celery crisp.
