Cake:
- 1 cup smooth peanut butter

- 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter

Instructions
- Prepare the batter: In a large mixing bowl, combine the smooth peanut butter and softened butter until creamy. Add the granulated sugar and eggs, mixing well until fully incorporated. In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the peanut butter mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Bake the cake: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch round cake pan. Pour the batter evenly into the pan and smooth the top. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
- Make the frosting: In a medium bowl, beat together the powdered sugar, smooth peanut butter, softened butter, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy. Adjust the consistency with a teaspoon of milk if necessary to achieve spreadable frosting.
