Description

A refreshing twist on the classic mojito, the Mexican Mojito combines the zesty flavors of lime, fresh strawberries, and mint with tequila for a vibrant and fruity cocktail perfect for warm weather or any festive occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 OZ. Lime juice
  • 1 OZ. Simple syrup
  • 4 Mint leaves
  • 2 OZ. Tequila
  • 3 Strawberries
  • Lime wheels for garnish
  • Club soda (to top)

Instructions

  1. Muddle Ingredients: Using a rocks glass, muddle the strawberries, simple syrup, and mint leaves together gently to release their flavors without pulverizing the mint.
  2. Add Ice and Tequila: Fill the glass with ice cubes, then pour in the tequila.
  3. Stir: Lightly stir the mixture to combine all the ingredients evenly while keeping the cocktail chilled.
  4. Top with Club Soda: Add club soda on top to your taste to add effervescence and balance the sweetness.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Garnish the drink with a strawberry and some fresh mint leaves, optionally a lime wheel, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor impact.
  • Adjust the simple syrup quantity for desired sweetness.
  • For a stronger mint aroma, clap the mint leaves between your hands before muddling to release the oils.
  • Use silver or blanco tequila for a cleaner, brighter flavor.
  • This cocktail is best served chilled and immediately after preparation.
