Ingredients
Scale
Lobster Tails
- 2 lobster tails (about 3-4 ounces each)
Seasoning & Butter Sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (melted, â…› stick)
- 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon freshly grated garlic
- Fresh parsley or thyme (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Lobster Tails: Using kitchen scissors, carefully cut down the top shell of each lobster tail to expose the meat. Gently lift the meat out of the shell and rest it on top for even cooking and better presentation.
- Boiling Method: Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Add lobster tails and cook for about 5-6 minutes until the meat is opaque and firm. Remove and set aside.
- Broiling Method: Preheat your broiler. Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet, brush them with olive oil, and season with salt. Broil for 5-6 minutes until the meat turns opaque and slightly browned on top.
- Baking Method: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Arrange lobster tails on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and season with salt. Bake for about 12-15 minutes until the lobster meat is opaque and cooked through.
- Make Garlic Butter Sauce: In a small bowl, mix melted butter, freshly grated garlic, and lemon juice.
- Serve: Drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the warm lobster tails and garnish with fresh parsley or thyme. Serve immediately for best flavor.
Notes
- Don’t overcook lobster tails to avoid rubbery texture; meat should be firm and opaque.
- Using fresh garlic and lemon juice enhances the flavor of the butter sauce.
- Adjust cooking times based on the size of the lobster tails.
- Optional: add a sprinkle of paprika or cayenne for a spicy kick.
