- Mix in Green Chilies: Drain 1 can (4 ounces) of green chilies and add them to the bowl, mixing evenly with the corn and cheese mixture.
- Add Green Onions: Chop 1 cup of green onions and stir them into the salad to combine all flavors.
- Prepare Fritos: Open a 9-ounce bag of Fritos corn chips and gently crush them into smaller pieces without turning them into crumbs.
- Add Fritos to Salad: Carefully fold the crushed Fritos into the salad, ensuring the chips maintain some texture and are evenly mixed.
- Chill the Salad: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld.
- Final Stir Before Serving: Gently stir the chilled salad to redistribute ingredients that may have settled.
