Description

A refreshing Elderflower, Gin and Prosecco Cocktail that combines floral elderflower liqueur, botanical gin, and bubbly Prosecco with a touch of zesty lime and a sugared rim for a delightful sparkling drink, perfect for any celebration or relaxing moment.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces gin
  • 1 ounce Elderflower Liqueur
  • 3 ounces Prosecco
  • Lime wedges (for garnish and rim)
  • Sugar (for rimming the glass)

Instructions

  1. Shake the base: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add 2 ounces of gin and 1 ounce of elderflower liqueur. Shake vigorously until well combined and chilled.
  2. Prepare the glass: Pour sugar onto a small plate. Take a lime wedge and run it around the rim of a martini glass to moisten it. Press the rim of the glass into the sugar to coat it evenly with a sugared crust.
  3. Assemble the cocktail: Strain the chilled gin and elderflower mixture from the shaker into the prepared martini glass. Carefully top the drink with 3 ounces of Prosecco.
  4. Garnish and finish: Squeeze a fresh lime wedge into the cocktail for a burst of citrus flavor, then garnish by placing another lime wedge on the rim or in the glass. Serve the cocktail immediately to enjoy its fresh bubbliness.

Notes

  • Use a dry or brut Prosecco for a less sweet cocktail.
  • Ensure the gin and elderflower liqueur are well chilled before shaking for the best flavor.
  • Adjust the amount of lime to taste for more or less citrus zing.
  • The sugared rim can be replaced with salt if desired for a different flavor twist.
  • This cocktail is best enjoyed fresh and not prepared far in advance to maintain the Prosecco’s bubbles.
