Description

Creamy Marry Me Pasta is a luscious, comforting dish featuring tender chicken cooked in a flavorful garlic and Parmesan cream sauce, tossed with perfectly al dente fettuccine and fresh cherry tomatoes. This easy-to-make skillet recipe is perfect for a weeknight dinner that feels indulgent yet straightforward.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

Pasta & Garnish

  • 8 oz fettuccine or your favorite pasta
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside.
  2. Season and cook the chicken: Season diced chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, then add the chicken. Cook for 5-7 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  3. Prepare the cream sauce: In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in chicken broth and heavy cream, bringing the mixture to a simmer. Add grated Parmesan cheese and stir continuously until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Add tomatoes and chicken: Stir in halved cherry tomatoes and the cooked chicken to the sauce. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to combine flavors.
  5. Toss pasta with sauce: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until the noodles are well coated with the creamy sauce.
  6. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top and serve the pasta warm for a delightful meal.

Notes

  • You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter sauce, but it may be less rich.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
  • Cherry tomatoes add a fresh burst; feel free to substitute with sun-dried tomatoes for a different twist.
  • Garnishing with parsley adds color and subtle freshness but can be omitted if unavailable.
  • For a gluten-free version, swap pasta with a gluten-free alternative.
