Description

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped maraschino cherries (well drained and patted dry)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped shelled pistachios


Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, cream the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  3. Add Dry Ingredients: Gradually mix in the flour and salt until just combined.
  4. Stir in Mix-ins: Fold in the chopped cherries and pistachios.
  5. Shape and Bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough, roll into balls, and place on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes until lightly golden on the bottom.
  6. Coat with Sugar: Let cool for 5 minutes, then roll warm cookies in powdered sugar. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before rolling in powdered sugar again.
