Description

Blueberry Energy Balls are a quick and nutritious snack made from freeze-dried blueberries, seeds, dates, oats, and cinnamon. These no-bake, wholesome energy bites deliver natural sweetness and sustained energy, perfect for a healthy on-the-go treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup freeze dried blueberries
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup raw unsalted sunflower seeds
  • 10 medjool dates, pits removed
  • 1 cup old fashioned or quick oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add all of the ingredients to a food processor. Process together for about 20 seconds to begin breaking down the ingredients. Add 1 tablespoon of water to help the mixture bind.
  2. Form Mixture: Continue to process the ingredients until they form one large combined ball, approximately 1 minute. The mixture should be sticky enough to hold together when shaped.
  3. Shape Balls: Transfer the mixture to a clean work surface. Divide into 16 equal pieces. Roll each piece between your hands to form bite-sized energy balls. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for best freshness.

Notes

  • Using medjool dates helps add natural sweetness and sticky texture necessary for binding.
  • Freeze-dried blueberries provide concentrated flavor without moisture.
  • Store energy balls refrigerated for up to one week.
  • Oats can be old fashioned or quick depending on preference; both work well.
  • Optional: add a pinch of sea salt or vanilla extract for additional flavor variations.
