Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup freeze dried blueberries
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup raw unsalted sunflower seeds
- 10 medjool dates, pits removed
- 1 cup old fashioned or quick oats
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: Add all of the ingredients to a food processor. Process together for about 20 seconds to begin breaking down the ingredients. Add 1 tablespoon of water to help the mixture bind.
- Form Mixture: Continue to process the ingredients until they form one large combined ball, approximately 1 minute. The mixture should be sticky enough to hold together when shaped.
- Shape Balls: Transfer the mixture to a clean work surface. Divide into 16 equal pieces. Roll each piece between your hands to form bite-sized energy balls. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for best freshness.
Notes
- Using medjool dates helps add natural sweetness and sticky texture necessary for binding.
- Freeze-dried blueberries provide concentrated flavor without moisture.
- Store energy balls refrigerated for up to one week.
- Oats can be old fashioned or quick depending on preference; both work well.
- Optional: add a pinch of sea salt or vanilla extract for additional flavor variations.
